01 / The creation
What it is, and why.
Ilya is a personal workshop for public-domain books, classics included. Readers sign in with an email code, find a book on Project Gutenberg by search, link, or ebook number, and Ilya turns the raw text into a clean, typeset reading copy on a private shelf. They can read it, edit their own copy, and pick up where they left off. Ilya was first built by an AI agent on a proprietary platform. I migrated it by hand to my own stack (React, Hono, PostgreSQL, and a background import worker) before today, but it had only ever been tested by me clicking around. Today I used Kane CLI to find out whether it actually works, fixed what Kane caught, and added a new reader feature that Kane verified as I built it.
02 / The harness
How Kane checks it.
The team didn't break the harness into stages.
03 / Evidence
What actually ran.
Verified means a passing run reported through a paired, verified channel. A failing run is a detection, not a confirmed bug. Everything else is as the team reported it.
No evidence linked.
